AMC is revisiting the idea of The Walking Dead in black and white after the successful use of the monochrome presentation of the pilot back in July. Word has surfaced on Twitter via a fan's message to showrunner Glen Mazzara of the upcoming airing of the first two seasons of The Walking Dead in good old black and white.
Twitter user @brayingdixon snapped the attached picture of a story in The Walking Dead Magazine and sent it to Robert Kirkman and Mazzara, who then re-tweeted it.
The black and white revisualization of the series will begin airing in February 2013.
Interestingly, the color to black and white de-colorization approach was originally done to great effect with director Frank Darabont's adaptation of Stephen King's The Mist and no doubt inspired the same treatment for his pilot for The Walking Dead.
