New on DVD: Zombex

New this week from NAMP is Zombex, directed by Jesse Dayton, and starring Malcolm McDowell, Corey Feldman, Sid Haig, John Doe, Lew Temple, and David Christopher.

"This is the story of a post-Katrina New Orleans as it deals with a second disaster, a zombie apocalypse. Gone is the depression and post traumatic stress of the hurricane, thanks to the revolutionary new anti-depressant called Zombex manufactured by a nefarious corporation. Are citizens of The Big Easy on the path to happiness, or is Zombex working its dark magic? Unfortunately, the city plunges in to madness. Only this time, instead of deadly water filling the streets, NOLA is flooded with the walking dead."

Zombex is available now on DVD.

New On Blu: Mimesis - Night of the Living Dead

New this week from Anchor Bay is Mimesis: Night of the Living Dead, directed by Douglas Schulze and starring Sid Haig, Courtney Gains, Allen Maldonado, Lauren Mae Shafer and Taylor Piedmonte.

"Why watchia horror movie when you can live one?

What begins as a horror convention after-party for a group of fans will quickly become a genuine flesh-and-blood nightmare: Trapped inside an isolated farmhouse, they must now survive attacks by hordes of hungry zombies while desperately attempting to escape. But is this gore-soaked siege a twisted prank, an elaborate trap, or has Night Of The Living Dead actually come to undead life? Sid Haig (The Devil's Rejects) and Courtney Gains (Children Of The Corn) star in this award-winning shocker from co-writer/director Douglas Schulze that walks the razor sharp line between edgy homage and depraved reality... then proceeds to rip its guts out."

Mimesis: Night of the Living Dead is available now on Blu-ray, DVD and iTunes.
