Z Nation starts three years after the zombie virus has gutted the country, and follows a team of everyday heroes tasked with transporting the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California - where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood. Although the antibodies he carries are the world’s last, best hope for a vaccine, he hides a dark secret that threatens them all. With humankind’s survival at stake, the ragtag band embarks on a journey of survival across three thousand miles of rusted-out post-apocalyptic America."

Syfy's Z Nation Gets A Promo Trailer

The old saying goes "don't throw the baby out with the bath water."

That is unless the baby is a zombie. And that is exactly what we get in Syfy's exciting promo for Z Nation, their new zombie series. You just can't go wrong with zombie babies.

Produced by the Asylum, the same company behind Sharknado, Z Nation presents us with the aftermath of an extinction level event that has turned most of the world's population into zombies. There is no cure for what turned the infected but our heroes, played by Tom Everett Scott, Harold Perrineau, and DJ Qualls, come across the only person known to have survived a bite from a zombie.

Their mission: get him across the country to a lab in California.  Alive, of course, but it won't be an easy road trip with a nation of zombies in the way.

Z Nation launches in September.
