New On Blu: The Dead / The Dead 2

New this week from Anchor Bay Entertainment is the two-movie collection The Dead / The Dead 2, both directed by Howard J. Ford and Jonathan Ford.

Dead 1: After crashing off the coast, Lt. Brian Murphy battles for survival across the vast terrains of Africa in search for a way to get back to his beloved family. Joined by local military man Daniel Dembele, who is also searching for his son, both men join forces, all the while battling against the ever-present threat of the living dead!

Dead 2: In this ferocious sequel to the worldwide horror hit, The Dead, The Ford Brothers take their chilling vision of the zombie apocalypse to a different country and a whole new level: As the infectious epidemic spreads through India, an American turbine engineer (Joseph Millson of Casino Royale) learns that his pregnant girlfriend is trapped near the slums of Mumbai. Now, one man must battle his way across a 300-mile wasteland of the ravenous undead and into a nightmare city seething with flesh-eating madness. The Dead 2 puts the Ford Brothers’ unique apocalyptic vision on a far bigger canvas in terms of breathtaking scope, thrilling action , death-defying stunts, emotional resonance and spine-tingling fight. “The Dead 2 is bigger, better and more exciting than the first,” raves HorrorCultFilms. “Thrilling, frightening and incredibly violent. Powerful stuff!”

The Dead / The Dead 2 collection is available now on Blu-ray and DVD.

Free Book Of The Week: Charlie Higson's The Enemy

Charlie Higson's The Enemy is currently available as iTunes free Book of the Week. They are likely to pick a new book for this honor tomorrow, Tuesday, May 27th, so act fast if you want to download it.

"The Enemy is the first book in a wildly successful and gory teen zombie series by the author of the Young Bond books (about the super-spy's early years). A mysterious epidemic has turned everyone over the age of sixteen into rotting, flesh-easting monsters - and the children of London are banding together for survival. Rolling out new frights on every page, Charlie Higson takes you on an adrenaline-pumping apocalyptic journey that tests his young characters' fortitude and strengthens their allegiances."

The other books in the series - The Dead, The Fear, The Sacrifice are available for $4.99, and The Fallen is available for $9.99.

Once again, this offer probably ends tonight at midnight when iTunes picks a new title for their Book of the Week, so get it while you can.
